Starr, Inc. and with other leading industrial companies in the industry. David Price and Pricie Hanna have successfully assisted clients in every region of the world and at every level in the nonwovens and hygiene industries in consulting engagements using extensive market and technology data bases. The Team
Pricie Hanna is a founding partner of Price Hanna Consultants, a firm specializing in nonwoven and hygiene absorbent products, key raw materials and related fields. Her expertise ranges from end product market trends to the demand and technical requirements for the raw materials, such as resins, fiber, fluff pulp, airlaid and cover stock nonwovens, film, superabsorbents, adhesives and elastics, used to make these products. She is a frequent conference speaker and has authored numerous papers and publications on the global hygiene absorbent products markets and other nonwovens businesses. For twenty-three years, Mrs. Hanna was Vice President of John R. Starr, Inc., and led the firm’s consulting practice in hygiene absorbent products and nonwoven wipes. Mrs. Hanna managed numerous client engagements involving studies of market and technology feasibility, supply/demand outlook, strategy development, new product opportunity evaluation, competitor assessments, value chain analyses, financial valuations and acquisition/divestiture searches. Prior to joining John R. Starr, Inc., Mrs. Hanna was Vice President – Finance, Planning and Administration for the Scott Nonwovens Division of Scott Paper Company. During sixteen years with Scott Paper, Mrs. Hanna held various corporate positions including Vice President – Corporate Planning; Vice President – Corporate Financial Services and Assistant Treasurer. Before joining Scott Paper, Mrs. Hanna was a corporate lending officer of Citibank in New York City. Mrs. Hanna received an A.B. degree from the University of Pennsylvania and completed the Executive Education Program in Corporate Financial Management at the Harvard Graduate School of Business.
David J. Price is a founding partner of Price Hanna Consultants, a firm specializing in nonwoven and hygiene absorbent products, key raw materials and related fields. Mr. Price has extensive experience in textile, woven and nonwoven fabric businesses and in the industrial, construction, filtration, medical, hygiene, consumer, and specialty markets these technologies serve. Mr. Price was a Senior Consultant with John R. Starr, Inc. from 2005 to 2011. He assisted clients in engagements involving a variety of manufacturing and commercial topics, including evaluations of potential acquisitions and due diligence. He has authored publications on nonwoven technologies and markets and is an accomplished speaker at conferences and executive briefings. Over his career, Mr. Price has served in Manufacturing and General Management, Business Development, Sales and Marketing Management and Executive Management roles. Prior to joining John R. Starr, Inc., Mr. Price was Vice President of Sales and Marketing for BBA Fiberweb North America, the third largest nonwoven fabric producer in the world at the time. Prior to this role, Mr. Price was President and a member of the Board of Directors of Evergreen Technologies, a nonwoven fabric and specialty film extruder. Earlier, Mr. Price was President of Polyfelt Americas and later Group President and member of the Board of Polyfelt Ges.mbH Linz, Austria, the world’s largest nonwoven geotextile producer. Early in his career, Mr. Price was employed by Exxon Chemical’s Industrial Textiles Division. Mr. Price gained international experience through his employment and residence in Europe and significant business development activities in Asia. Mr. Price also has experience in managing private equity-owned companies and in working with private equity firms on acquisitions and divestments. Mr. Price has earned both a BS and MS in Business Administration and has successfully completed a number of professional development programs covering a variety of subjects. He has also served on a number of civic and charitable Boards as a Director and Chairman.
Colin Alexander Hanna is Director of Market Research for Price Hanna Consultants. Mr. Hanna brings research and analytical techniques developed from his MBA (University of Washington) and MSS (Master in Social Services – Bryn Mawr College) degrees combined with strategic insight and perspective gained from professional experience spanning multiple industries. Prior to joining Price Hanna Consultants in 2017, Mr. Hanna worked as an individual consultant for clients in the energy, global health, social services and consumer goods industries. Mr. Hanna also has prior experience working as a liaison between retailers and commercial real estate developers; first as a project manager for a major commercial real estate developer, then as a process improvement expert for one of the nation’s largest recreational equipment retailers.
Michele Scannapieco is Manager of Client Services at Price Hanna Consultants. She manages client relations, marketing and administrative projects. Mrs. Scannapieco has over 25 years of experience in executive and administrative assistant positions. Mrs. Scannapieco joined Price Hanna Consultants in 2011 as an Executive Assistant. Prior to 2011, she worked as an Administrative Assistant for DuPont in Wilmington, DE, for 18 years and provided administrative support to the Global Financial Director and the Vice President in DuPont’s Titanium Technologies Business.
